Descant and harmonization

Alleluya, sing to Jesus
for the Choir of St Peter's Peterston
to celebrate the installation of the Nicholson Organ at Llandaff Cathedral

About Hyfrydol

Hyfrydol, meaning 'cheerful,' was composed by Rowland Huw Prichard when he was 18 years old, in 1844. This popular, singable hymn tune features the vocal range of only a sixth.

This descant was written for the Choir of St. Peter's Peterston for services featuring the new (Easter 2010) Nicholson organ at Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff, Wales (below).
